use GTN750 as pop-up causes default X530 freezes at place - AngelOfAttack - 03-14-2026
Kinda weird and minor bug, but when I use GTN750 as a pop-up as the aircraft not support it natively (or legendarily), while all working fine (HSI, AP NAV mode all follows fine). The default X(GNS)530 have it's aircraft position frozen at starting position all long the flight, it'll sync the route in GTN750, will show correct TRK, but the position just not move.
Is this a bug or is there a setting to change this behavior?

No, this is not known behavior, can you please test with the default C172 and let us know?
As well as attempt the same test with the Baron B58, but without REP and let us know of both test results.
Perhaps there is a conflict with another software?
Which version of the TDS GTNXi XPlane are you running?

So I did a test, loaded with TDS plugin (1.0.1.2) only (there are some scenery plugins as well but they are far away).
In default C172, I have already had TDS GTN750 installed, and the X530 and X430 are locked.
Switch to default B58, the TDS was not selected, so I tried fly it without TDS and the X530 works fine.
Up on enable Unit1 of GTN750, the X530 frozen, but as I navigated to map mode from "welcome page", X530 works normal again.
So I reload the flight to runway, with GTN still enabled, it works no issue.
But as soon as I set a D> route in GTN, the X530 frozen.
And as soon as I de-select TDS unit1, the X530 snap back to normal position
BTW I'm using GTN as pop-out window and dragged to another monitor

This seems to be caused by the X-Plane engine when the TDS GTNXi sets the override_gps dataref to 1, which is normal behavior for when the TDS GTNXi is active, so it is not a TDS bug.
It seems that this is how X-Plane has been designed to function, so there is nothing that we can do from our side.
