TDS GTN Integration into the Cockpit
#1
Hello,
This might sound a bit stupid but anyway... yesterday evening I bought the GTNXi for XPlane and so far i love it. However i've only been able to integrate it into my Thranda Cessna Caravan C208. When I try to integrate it into my AFL King Air 350 im only able to open the Pop Up from the Plugins menu and XPlane still shows me the Laminar Garmin 430.

I honestly also dont know how to integrate the GTN into Airplanes like the Torquesim SR20 Entegra or the King Air 350...

Do you know if I have to have some kind of Config File to Integrate it into these Aircrafts?
Appreciate your help,

Thanks in Advance

Hello,

We will need to discuss each aircraft on a step by step basis, this is because they use the TDS GTNXi XPlane Legacy VC integration option, so they are not native TDS integrations.

For all aircraft, make sure that the XPlane Plugins/ TDS GTNXi Gneeral Settings has Legacy VC enabled.

For the KingAir by AirFoilLabs, please make sure to select the GPS aircraft, not the default configuration, this is performed from the X-Plane aircraft selection.

Let's confirm the KingAir first, then we will move to the TS SR20 Entegra.

Hi again,
Thanks for your reply. I will attach you a Screenshot with the AFL KingAir 350 where you can see that i turned on the Legacy VC Integration option in the plugins menu. However as you can see i can use the GTN 750 only as a Pop up...

My question is am I missing something or a file to integrate the GTN into the cockpit?
Thanks

Hello,

Please post a screenshot from inside the X-Plane 12 aircraft selection menu of the actual King Air 350 variation, there are two options: a regular and another with a GNS GPS unit (select that one) In addition, you should uninstall/disable any other GTN/GNS product.

Hey,
I'm still on XPlane 11 . In the Screenshot you can see the selection of the GPS Version of the KA350, and i have no other GPS Products active.

Hi,
So after trying it actually works on the TS SR20 Entegra, however on the KA350 i still have the same problem as mentioned before...

Hello,

Thank you. Can you please provide us with the TDSGTN.ini file located in the X-Plane 11, KingAir 350 aircraft folder?

Hi,
Here i send you the file.

I was running a Test flight today on the TS SR20 with both the 750 and the 650. When trying to tune in frequencies with an 8 it wont let me stating that the Unit must be 8.33 kHz mode to tune this frequency. I've been looking in the utility settings of the GTN however couldnt find any option to turn this on . Perhaps im missing something...
I will send you a picture of the message from the GTN too.
Thanks

Hello,

You can always change the COM channel spacing from:
Home\System\Setup\COM/NAV

We recommend referring to the real world GTNXi manual for information.
