Elec.Power.Source - emulov - 10-10-2026 Hi, I'm using the TDS GTN 750Xi and GTN 650Xi (version 1.3.1.5) as standalone units on a separate touchscreen monitor with the A2A Comanche in MSFS 2024. Everything works nicely, but the units are always powered on as soon as I start them, regardless of the battery or avionics master switch positions. I'd like them to power on with the avionics master switch instead. I've already changed the value of "Elec.Power.Source" to 2 (which should be the AvionicsBus option) in the corresponding .ini files, but the units still power on regardless. Does anyone have an idea how to fix this? Thanks! RE: Elec.Power.Source - adminOwner2 - 10-11-2026 Hello, Do you experience the same behavior if you disable standalone mode, but utilize the MSFS 2024 pop-ups using the MSFS 2024 Pop-up Panel Manager application: https://flightsim.to/addon/85158/msfs-pop-out-panel-manager-2024 RE: Elec.Power.Source - emulov - 10-16-2026 Hi, thanks for the reply. I’d prefer not to use extra software like the Pop-up Panel Manager. I want to run the GTNs as TDS standalone units on my touchscreen monitor, as TDS supports. I did test the VC integrated mode, though: there both units power on correctly with the avionics master. So the issue only happens in standalone mode. Setup: MSFS 2024, TDS GTNXi Pro 1.3.1.5 (GTN750Xi + GTN650Xi), standalone units on a secondary touchscreen monitor. 1. VC integrated (tds-gtnxi-gauge installed, no Standalone.txt) Both units power on with the avionics master, as expected. 2. Standalone without the gauge folder (tds-gtnxi-gauge removed, my original setup) Both units work in the A2A Comanche 250 and the A2A Aerostar 600, but they are always on, regardless of the battery or avionics master. 3. Standalone.txt mode (tds-gtnxi-gauge installed, C:\ProgramData\TDS\GTNXi\Standalone.txt created) A2A Comanche 250: both units work, but are always on. A2A Aerostar 600: the GTN750 works but is always on. The GTN650 stays black, even with the avionics master on and with Power.Source=1. GTN750 + GTN650 are selected on the Aerostar tablet. Already checked: Power.Source=2 is set for both units in TDSGTN.ini, in both the FlightSimEXE folder and the aircraft folders. The standalone units seem to ignore it. I copied the Comanche’s TDSGTN.ini into the aerostar600 folder. The GTN650 is still black in the Aerostar. Questions: Can the standalone units follow the aircraft’s avionics bus in MSFS 2024, as Power.Source=2 suggests? If not, is this planned? Why does the GTN650 stay black in Standalone.txt mode in the Aerostar, when it works in the Comanche and in the Aerostar without the gauge folder? Thanks! RE: Elec.Power.Source - adminOwner2 - 10-16-2026 Hello, It is understood on external software. Yes, we have plans on adapting the standalone mode, as part of a much bigger part of the project in terms of standalone mode, hence why the mode that exists now is a WIP mode. This is planned on the future, after releasing the current work in progress features. In addition, we do not recommend removing any TDS WASM gauge from the standalone folder, as this disrupts communication with aircraft, especially A2A products. The rule to follow is that even when standalone is enabled, the TDS GTNXi will draw and display only the gauges that are installed and active in the specific aircraft. |
